However I think my other photos could depict my thinness and smartness more accurately than the ones used here. Nonetheless, the descriptions are somewhat true ;)

Terence's birthday

What better way to show love and celebrate your hubby's birthday in the comfort of your own home, feed him with all his favourite food in the midst of a great company of friends? Sharon did just that today.

From sending invites to friends, buying and packing all the charcoal, starters, tongs, utensils, aluminium foil, serviettes, prawns,corns, sting ray, bee hoon, curry chicken, chicken wings, otah, satay, fishball, hotdogs, butter, honey, birthday cake etc etc to coordinating with every single secret agent i.e. us to keep all this secret from Terence, was certainly no easy feat for her but the resourceful and capable Sharon did that! Terence has not smelled any rats the whole day even when Sharon acted to be so frustrated at the hot weather that she insisted to have the air conditioner on and closed the curtains on the pretext of wanting more privacy, so that he would not even have the chance to peep out of the window and catch us bbqing away.

Sharon, you are truly amazing! Only a person so in love would go to all the extra miles you took to make today happen. We are all so proud of you!

Office Supermodels

This group of us were asked to pose as models for our own department posters which are still under processing. We took quite a number of photos for the same pose that some of our smiles look so frozen. See how I struggled to look cute! Hmm... but it was fun.

It has been quite a while since cg has fellowship session outdoors so on this sunny Saturday, we decided to go Sentosa.

I know this sounds ridiculous but I actually snapped 116 photos in all, can you believe it? LOL!However due to yours truly's impatience to upload all of them here, and my numerous but futfile attempts to link this site to my Flickr and the short montage clip i made, plus I should really be in bed by now, I will just share some pixs here. Happy viewing :)

Recounting my CHC days

When I first visited City Harvest Church in late 2001, I got the shock of my life as I did not expect to find so many young people jumping up and down with so much energy that they seemed to be pulling down the house praising God. I could not understand why the congregation could stand and sing the same song so many times over without feeling even a tickle of boredom. I was not used to switching from a fast-tempo song to a slower one without feeling a break in the atmosphere. I was confused how the people teared while singing and even spoke in different sounds (or tongues as I later found out) sometimes loud, sometimes soft. I was also not drawn to the pastor or the teachings at all. It was all too radical for me and I felt like an alien in the environment so I left in search of my ideal home church.

However due to a lack of strong support group, I became only better at church-hopping but not with His word. It was after two long years of wandering in the wilderness that God begun to stir my heart and I yearned so much for the strong presence I felt at City Harvest Church. So then God amazingly reconnected me to my friend, Weixuan who first brought me here two years back. Atlas, the feeling of home-coming overwhelmed me and I responded to give my heart to Jesus during the service.

I wish I could pen every detail of God’s blessings in my life thus far but today as when we heard of how God has touched our many pioneers over their 20 long years’ relationship with the church, and seeing how the entire Singapore Indoor Stadium was packed to capacity, all the way from the floor seats to the balcony seats, I am even more convicted that our God is truly real and almighty. If our individual life may not sound like a solid enough testimony to you but how about the testimonies of the other 26999 members put together?



It is really the personal encounters with Him here that I know this is truly a place where dreams are realized, and success is celebrated!

Charis shines

We were all pleasantly surprised to see baby Charis in July's issue of Motherhood magazine. It is the most beautiful print ad i've ever seen!

Charis is the precious of my dear cell group leader, Alvin and wife, Andrea :)
